Downloading and installation is an easy process. Have your TomTom GPS device handy and click "Download Now" to get to the "Download Screen"

Warning - the Spot It Out download process is supported by the following browers: Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3.6 or better and Apple Safari 5.0 or better. If you are using Google Chrome browser please use an alternate browser to download your product.

PC users must have Java installed to support the download process.

Before starting your download be sure to have your TomTom device connected to your computer with a suitable USB cable.

Two Step Process

Step 1 - Download Installer onto your desktop

From the Spot It Out Download page click Windows or Mac to download the "Installer". This could take a few minutes for some products.

Step 2 (Windows) OR Step 2 (Mac)

Step 2 (Windows) - Run the Installer

When the download is complete you will find the product "Installer" on your desktop.

Check that you have connected your device to your computer

Now double click to start the Installer. A window will pop up...

You see a message telling you the status of your installation as files are being loaded onto your TomTom device.

DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR DEVICE DURING THE INSTALLATION PROCESS.

After a few minutes you will get a message, "Spot It Out Product Installed. You may now disconnect the device"

That's it! Your product is now installed and ready for you to enjoy!

Step 2 (Mac) - Run the Installer

When the download is complete you will find the product "Installer" on your desktop.

Next double click on the "Installer" to get a "SpotItOutMac" Disk Image.

Double click on the "SpotItOutMac" disk image to open the disk image.

Double click on "SpotItOutMac" to start the installation of the product onto your TomTom. You may get a security warning, just click "OPEN" to continue.

After a few minutes you will get a message "Application Completed".

That's it! Your product is now installed and ready for you to enjoy!

A Windows PC is required for the download and installation process for TomTom VIA and GO2000 devices

Download and Installation Overview

There are two simple steps:

Step 1. Attach your TomTom connected to your computer with a suitable USB cable like the one delivered with your TomTom and wait until your computer recognizes that your device is connected.

Step 2. Click "PC Download" and follow the prompts until your download and installation are complete.

After you click "PC Download" you will see a pop-up welcoming you to the Spot It Out PC Installer, click "YES".

You will get a new pop-up. This will launch the actuall product installer. Click "Setup".

The final phase is you will get a pop-up that automatically downloads and installs your product onto your device. This pop-up will close when the process is done.

You are now ready to enjoy your Spot It Out GPS product on your TomTom device!

A Spot It Out user account is required to redeem gift certificates
or prepaid cards.

It's QUICK and EASY! Just purchase and download/install and it's ready to use!

STEP #1 - Purchase & Install
Purchase and install the travel guide of your choice! Just "Add To Cart" and "Check-Out", then follow the simple download/installation instructions.

STEP #2 - Ready to Use!
Once the download and installation is complete you are ready to use your Spot It Out Travel Guide!

From the Main Menu on your Garmin nuvi (screens may vary) tap "Where to?" and go to "Extras" by tapping

Tap on the title of your product

Choose a category or region/city by scrolling up/down with the arrows.

Choose a Point of Interest (POI) by tapping on your selection.

Depending upon your Garmin you may get a "Map" screen. Tap "Press for More" to get detailed information about your selection.

Once on the POI information screen you can scroll down using the

or "More" for more detailed information. To return to the previous screen tap the "Back" button.

Tap "GO" to start your route guidance to the selected location. Or, tap "Save" to save the location to your "Favorites" for later use.

If there is a photo thumbnail you can tap on it and enlarge it.

THAT'S IT! Browse through the list of places and learn more about them. Save the ones you like and start planning your next trip!
