Nelson Chan

Mr. Chan served as Chief Executive Officer of Magellan, a leader in consumer, survey, GIS and OEM GPS navigation and positioning markets, from 2006 to 2008. At Magellan Mr. Chan more than doubled annual revenues from $200 million to over $500 million and turned the business profitable in 12 months. Magellan was successfully sold to Mitac Corporation. From 1992 through 2006, Mr. Chan served in various senior management positions with SanDisk Corporation, the world's largest supplier of flash branded data storage products, including most recently as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Business. At SanDisk, Mr. Chan helped drive the business from startup to over $3 billion in annual revenues. Mr. Chan led SanDisk's entry into the retail business and was instrumental in creating and driving its retail presence through a branded product portfolio. That business has grown to over $2 billion in annual revenues in under seven years with products being available through over 250,000 store fronts worldwide. From 1983 to 1992, Mr. Chan held marketing and engineering positions at Chips and Technologies, Signetics, and Delco Electronics. Mr. Chan is a member of the Board of Directors of Silicon Labs, a public fabless, analog-intensive mixed-signal semiconductor company; and Synaptics, a public company that is a leading worldwide developer and supplier of custom-designed human interface solutions that enable people to interact more easily and intuitively with a wide variety of mobile computing, communications, entertainment, and other electronic devices. Mr. Chan is also a director or Chairman of the Board of several privately held companies. Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Santa Clara University.

Walt Doyle

Walt is the CEO of Where, Inc. the developer and publisher of the award winning service WHERE. With millions of users across hundreds of handsets, WHERE is North America's leading local search and recommendation service on mobile devices. The WHERE service is built on robust platform technology that aggregates real-time content from multiple partners and directly from its audience with UGC. The user experience adapts to an individuals preferences over time providing an enhanced and personalized experience that helps people save time and money through a delightful user experience. The company has 40 employees, is based in Boston, and is profitable.

Prior to joining Where in 2005, Walt was a GM of MapQuest (TWX) for 3 years where and grew the top line revenue from $40m to over $85m. His career began in with Dow Jones (DJ) in their international division where he lead sales and marketing for the online, broadcast, and dial-up businesses. After Dow Jones, Walt moved to San Francisco held executive level appointments with GameSpot (CNET), Net2Phone (ATT), and DialPad (YHOO). Walt's ability to identify emerging technology trends, create corporate strategy, and build winning teams puts him squarely at the helm of uLocate. Walt left San Francisco for his native home of Boston in 2005 where he and his family are outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy fishing, biking, hockey, and travel. He is a graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

Salahuddin Khan

Salahuddin Khan is Co-founder and Managing Partner at Lifeline Holdings (Delaware). He was born in Pakistan in 1952 and imigrated to the United Kingdom in 1956, where he grew up and entered his professional career as an aerospace engineer. In 1977 he moved into the automotive industry and from there to the CAD/CAM industry leader Computervision, in 1979.

Salahuddin held several positions with Computervision for the next 19 years during which he moved to Boston, culminating in Chief Technology Officer. In 1998, he left Computervision to join Chicago's NAVTEQ as the VP of OEM Marketing and later held positions of VP Corporate Strategy, SVP Chief Technology Officer, SVP Global Marketing and Strategy. A year after Salahuddin left the company, it was sold to Nokia for $8 billion. In his direct management experience Salahuddin has controlled operating budgets in excess of $50 million and managed staff sizes of over 400 professionals. He has also provided marketing, strategy and development consulting and training to the aerospace, pharmaceuticals, banking and telecoms industry over the past 25 years. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Human Development Foundation and until recently, its acting Executive Director.

Dan phelps

Dan Phelps is the Managing Director of Salt Creek Capital, where he leads private equity investments and serves as a board member of portfolio companies.

Dan has extensive experience investing in and advising companies ranging from start-up through IPO. He brings an operational perspective reflecting his hands on experience working with management teams to drive growth and operational efficiency. Most recently, Dan was a General Partner at Opus Capital, a $280M Menlo Park, CA based fund formed in 2006 where he led growth equity and buyout efforts focusing on the middle market.

Previously, Dan was a General Partner and founding member of Duchossois Technology Partners (DTEC), a Chicago based venture capital firm, where he led software and networking investments. DTEC investments led by Dan include Infoblox, Intellon (Nasdaq: ITLN, acquired by Atheros), Mobilitec (acquired by Lucent), NetNearU, NextHop (acquired by U4EA), Clarity (acquired by Cambridge Silicon Radio) and Rubicon Genomics. DTEC is affiliated with The Duchossois Group, a privately held organization which represents over 60 years of entrepreneurship and the development of dozens of companies with an aggregate value in excess of $3B.

Before joining DTEC, Dan worked in the Pritzker Family financial office, owners of a wide range of companies including Hyatt, the Marmon Group and TransUnion. Dan began his career in the Financial Services group at Ernst & Young.

Dan graduated with Honors from The Ohio State University with a BSBA and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Choose a category or region/city by scrolling up/down with the arrows.

  

Choose a Point of Interest (POI) by tapping on your selection.



Depending upon your Garmin you may get a "Map" screen. Tap "Press for More" to get detailed information about your selection.



Once on the POI information screen you can scroll down using the  or "More" for more detailed information. To return to the previous screen tap the "Back" button.

Tap "GO" to start your route guidance to the selected location. Or, tap "Save" to save the location to your "Favorites" for later use.
